6000 - Support Services

6000 Support Services

The board recognizes than an effective educational program must be supported by services that assist students in taking advantage of educational opportunities.  The board also recognizes the need for services that help the school system use resources necessary for an educational program in an effective and efficient manner.

The board will also encourage the provision of support services to meet the unique needs of children of military families and provide an annual report to the State Board of Education on related training of school personnel in accordance with state law. (See also policy 4050, Children of Military Families).

The board and superintendent will strive to educate the board of county commissioners and other funding sources of the importance of support services.
